“This was a very comprehensivit tour covering quite a lot of territory. there were a number of stops that I would have explored further but with limited time in port on a cruise ship it was really only a matter of choosing one or two stops so we stopped for the look out and then at the city prot area.”

“This was by far the most beautiful trip I made. The boat was gorgeous, and an interesting group of people on it and the fjord and mountains literally took my breath away! If there is one Fjord to see then this is it! Do note to take a pack lunch or some snacks if Oye is the stop point as there are no shops there.”

“The biggest issue with this kayak trip is going around the city was not very scenic. It was fun Kayaking and the guide was nice had helpful but not much to look at. We kayaked to the industrial side of the town and was hoping to see a few more sites then just this. It may be that this all there was to see in Alesund. Might have been better time spent hiking to the scenic view instead.”

“I booked this for our family (children 13 and 10) somewhat last minute, since we originally considered touring Alesund on our own. We were NOT disappointed! The pickup spot is almost next to where we disembarked at port, and easy to find. The driver/owner/guide was there early and agreed to watch our things while we toured the city on our own for a short while. The bus was comfortable, was stocked with cold sodas and water, and the ride was smooth. Most importantly, the tour itself was excellent. We hit several stops in the 4/4.5 hours, including one place (the Viking Church, I think) that full-sized tour buses cannot visit…”

“This tour of Alesund was interesting. The guide has personal knowledge and a connection to the area and a deep appreciation for the city. The meeting point was easy to find from the ship, simply follow the big green footprints painted on the pavement down the pier, under the roadway and out the other side. The meeting point was just across the road and was a ten-minute walk at best. Dress warmly if it is cloudy or cool as the wind blowing across the water makes it chilly. *If you are looking for something additional to do while in port after the walking tour, try the food tour.”
